Late Fall Gear List
All late season hunts are done out of our ranch, lodge or the black water cabin, and are warm and comfortable. 4×4 Suburbans and walking are the method of hunting. This time of year can be extremely cold with temperatures dropping to 0 degrees or colder. However, temperatures around the freezing mark are the usual, but being prepared for the worst can be the difference between having a good or bad hunt.
Heavy wool pants and coat will be the best for good quiet and warmth on the moose and deer hunts, snow pack boots and warm wool gloves and head gear are also a must. A good quality back pack will help carry your daily gear and if warm weather prevails will allow you to shed some layers so not to get to warm.
This is one of the prettiest times of the year so being prepared will definitely ensure you enjoy your hunt.
